Are you sure about that? Yea, we keep records too. I don't ever remember getting 50 or 100 / hd after taking a paychq.


the 50/100 hd was the paychq. calves were only worth 500/600 bucks. That was the margin on $500. how do you figure there was more money than 100 /hd to pay for labor? the labor on 300 cows for a year would have run at least 60 grand, if you were to pay someone, and that is cheap if you want to add all the real hours. So that would mean the gross margin was 50%? Ya, i don't think so... your records must be a lot different than everyone else's.

as for the expansion, the point was that it was not happening before. Now? maybe,.... but how much? you say a lot of heifers are being held back.... so whats the number? \

as for 3k pairs... you realize thats the same cow just leaving one guys hands into another right? that's not expanding.
