Chebanse, IL.....

It must be different here, or I am. I probably visit the PO on the avg of 2x weekly for items that have to be done in person. To drive 25 mis here (center of my co.) into a city that would accommodate a PO of the size you advocate would take about 35 mins, one way. True, 25 mis should take less than that, but here in IL they don't locate those type facilities out on the edge of some town, they're usually in the center. As you probably know, most POs don't own their own buildings, they rent & bid on space. New glamor space on the edge of town cost big $ per sq ft. Any way, I'd spend 1hr 10 mins traveling to/fro PO 2-3x weekly? No thanks. Also, that's not the local city we shop in, but this is how you're setting it up. Actually, they already have the court houses set up that way & it's a PIA.

I would presume you'd rather see the PO system abandoned entirely & I think your suggestion would lead to an early victory for your desires.
