tomram486 - 4/21/2014 21:41 Maybe what we need to do is get the post office to put them every 50 miles or 100,000 people. That would decrease the number of expensive post offices and save the tax payers a lot of money. I go to the grocery store for my post office. It is really handy to go get groceries and mail packages. There is no extra cost to me for the service.
I take it you didn't even read my original post.   It says, in plain English,***ZERO TAX DOLLARS***   USPS gets no tax money what so ever, and is actually subsidizing the US Treasury by over funding it's pension plan (required by Congress)

Would it not be OK for the USPS to subsidize it even more?  Why are they talking cutting Saturday deliveries if it's such a gravy train?  Why are they raising postage?  I'm not complaining, I think they do a heck of a job.
