I agree, VERY serious. My dad passed out one Sunday morning in 1984. Family thought he was dead but called the ambulance. A great neighbor stopped by and helped get him out of the house. He made the 30 mile trip to the hospital. Took 10 units of blood; surgeon said it was a ruptured aortic aneurysm, "We have to operate now!" We asked what about a second opinion because we didn't know anything about what was happening. Surgeon said no time, go to surgery NOW or he is gone -- 50/50 chance he could be saved. It turned out it was less than 1 in 10 chance he could be saved because most patients never make it to the operating table, BUT he pulled through with the help of God guiding a great surgical team. Cancer took him about a year later; we had a year to straighten out our relationships and say our "I love you"s. Get it taken care of immediately. |
