E. Kansas | I would only want an attached garage. I think it gives the place more value than a detached. My preference is a breezeway connecting the house and garage. It allows some windows on the garage side of the house to let in more light, which I think is desirable for any house. Also, if there was a fire in the garage, I'd rather it not be right against the house, even though my insurance considers attached and breezeway the same risk.
