If this place is really a short term investment then I would be very careful in thinking that building a garage will gain you anything in terms of increased value at the end of the day. What do you anticipate the all in cost of adding a garage to be? What's current house siding like, brick/stucco/vinyl siding?? If the garage doesn't match the finish of the rest of the house it may not add as much value to the house as you might think. Making it match can add costs... Where are you located? A temporary shelter might be your best bet . |
