| We run a kmc strip till with lift assist and jd 1700 planters. We where running jd 7300 and picked the assist wheels up while planting and the assist wheels always "dangled" while planting. And worked perfect for years. The only way I can keep the 1700 level now is by putting assist wheels down to help level planters or by running strip till deeper in ground but I can't run strip till where it would need to be because shanks are almost completely buried and it's just not right. Didn't realize I had a problem till started planting and cotton closers where digging a trench because the planters was unlevel. Is there another way to keep planters level other then using assist wheels? I rould really like to take pressure off assist wheels. Hope this makes since. | |
