cavalier county | Two of my nieces who are sisters loved playing catch with a beach ball when they were toddlers, the younger one couldn't quite get the long ee sound in beach and it sounded like bichball, which wasn't so bad. But after they had been swimming at the lake on a sand beach any time she saw her sister in a swimsuit she would point at her and say "beach, beach" We would roll with laughter, sadly - but to my sister's relief- she finally learned the long ee sound. She is still hilarious even when now that her pronunciations are better. | |
