Faunsdale, AL | Children's pool will not be deep enough for more than a couple days. You'll need to add some wire around it. We used a small 100 gallon water trough we had sitting around. That'll keep them in for at least a couple weeks.
We just used pine shavings. They peck around in everything, didn't seem to hurt anything. I think a heat lamp will be fine, just make darned sure it cannot fall and set the whole thing on fire. We had one in a dog house once. Had it up high in the back corner and got along fine for months, but one day my mother called and said she could see that our house was on fire! When we arrived, some of the farm help had already doused the doghouse which was a total loss! I think the dog must have whacked it with her tail and shattered the bulb. | |
