I have also put out a few pellets/cubes and walked threw the cows with a pump up sprayer from Walmart and sprayed the backs of cows out in the pasture.
Come back 3 days later and you can see the ones that didn't get a good shot of spray.
Pemertrin and dawn dish soap and water in the sprayer. $20 for a jug that your dilute, $9 for the sprayer you trash at the end of the year.
