Subject: What kids can think of

We had our grandson here with us. I took him to my moms place. She will be 90 in a few weeks. I had talked to Eli about "Cookie" grandma being old. She took him to her basement where she has her stash of homemade cookies. She had just gotten done making the cut out Easter cookies. You can tell he was impressed. When we got him home he sat on his moms lap and told her that he never wants "Cookie" grandma to die. He knows she is a good thing.

I hope these pictures don't turn sideways

He has come to a logical assumption to me! This reminds me of when my daughter was four and was introduced to a woman who had to be at LEAST in her late eighties. The lady told Makayla, "you are one cute cookie." Makayla responds, "And you are one OLD cookie!" I was like, "Makayla, it isn't very nice to tell people they are old. Apologize to her please." And that woman tore me a new one, said she was old, proud of it, and no apology was necessary. Then every time I scolded Makayla for various child things, (jumping off the fire place, sneaking into the jalapano poppers, wiping boogers on her brother) the woman would scold ME for being "too hard on that sweet child." Makayla could have burned the house down for all that lady cared; she was as precious as gold.
