ecsd | Break both wedges good and loose. Pull complete wheel off close to the end of axle. Wrap chain through a hole in casting up around tire and rim and handle/lift with a loader or forklift. It is heavy if fluid in them like mine. Be careful of valve stem. Best is switch them side to side. Doing this deserves extreme caution as tractor must be blocked up securely. If no fluid Id slide wheel out one at a time and take rim off then flip casting by itself then remount rim and slide in to desired spacing. When you have complete casting off of axle is when you can switch wedges around. Again proceed with extreme caution and be safe. Best to have help with them also as not a light duty job. Done this several times over the years with running mostly red tractors. As for the dual hubs if they are the Int. 10 hole heavy duty hubs maybe should try to get new u clamps if you would feel more confident in them safety wise. Three point planters are very heavy on rear of a tractor and not all that easy on axle bearings. Again be safe with this project. | |
