I would on anything pre 2011 do a pto pump delete, especially if I had the tractor capabilities to do it.   they changed some things on the pto pump system after 2011 that helped with the pto pump hydraulic system.  this of course depends on the tractor, i'm not familiar with the deeres but with 60 gal pump there should be more than enough capacity for this planter, best to talk to your deere guys about it.

another benefit we seen, although a small one, we were able to conserve fuel.  because we were able to slow down the engine, and also I believe the tractor hydraulic pump is more efficient than the pto pump, thus requiring less hp to pump oil.
