Subject: Kinzie 3700 planter shank

Wear blocks protecting seed tube on the shank gotta be replaced.......anyone have a "process" to remove the allen wrench bolt better than heat and cussing? Has anyone laid a bead of weld on the lower 3rd to build back up as the quickest way forward?.........I'm tempted

2nd question........my keeton tail sometimes get caught/pushed up into the closing wheel tail, presume rocks......thinking of cutting off, not because of dirt buildup but to avoid damage from them staying up in and warping............attempted to search for the mud build up cutoff process--but no avail....anyone have a set amount to cutoff and and what angle

thanks in advance
