Subject: RE: Run away Detroit diesel

NW Ohio,near Findlay
All ways keep it in a gear to kill it, drive it and warm it up. It it smokes and pushes white, unburnt fuel out the exhaust, low compression. Play with it, but don't make the mistake putting much money in it. I once was a die hard fan of these motors, but no more. Only motor I know that will run perfect into the lot at night, and when you start it up next morning, it's junk, sleeve crack, piece drops into blower box. Many times this happened to us, and no we weren't lugging it, or shut it off hot, they just break.
