More power is better on a blower but the components have to be sized to take the power. I just scrapped a 9 foot double auger Smyth blower that I twisted the main fan shaft off. It was built for 80 hp, I had 135 on it. The PTO shaft wasn't holding up so I got a bigger shaft, well the next shaft back finally gave out. There are blowers made that will take 300 hp, which is what is needed for this type of work, they just aren't cheap.
