Subject: California - drought or flood?

southern MN
I'm going to need a cheat sheet to keep up on this....

So California is in the worst drought ever, it will never change, this is a crisis and the entire country will have to change to make up for the terrible dry California is going through. Food prices will go through the roof, and water conservation efforts will have to be federally mandated across the entire country to make California feel better.

It has never been this hot and dry ever anywhere, and it will never change.

Now they report 4-6 inch rains are coming, mandatory evacuations, all the rain is going to cause massive damage. There will be freezing rain and snow on the passes, terrible weather conditions.

All in the same month?

Are perhaps we crying the sky is falling a little too much???? Can we really have both conditions occur and be the worst ever at the same time in the same state?

I understand a flood and a drought can exist within a couple 100 miles of each other here too.

But, come on.....
