Statesville, NC | I am building a new toolbar for my JD planter, using the Case type quick hitch I like so well on my Case drill. The planter started as some parts from a JD 7000 on a three point toolbar with 3 units to match the corn head on the Gleaner K that I had a few years ago. I am planting a lot more ground now for myself, in addition to some custom work so I needed a six row. I also change implements often during planting season so I wanted a quick hitch. I started with a new chunk of 7x7x3/8 and made the hitch just like my Case soybean special drill. I built a press several years and have made a few attachments for it to form metal.
