There it a plug on the back that has a hole in it. There is a spring with a steel ball in there. If I remember right. Check and see if the hole is open. We have had bugs in ours before. Might be a vane on the pump sticking a little. Not sure if it is the low sulpher we use or what but ours will stick the motor when it shuts off. I just take air filter out and spray some WD-40 in the small hole and it takes right off.
