Subject: RE: strip-till planter

Morris, IL
We ran 3 point Redball strip till bar last two falls and planted with JD 7200 planter, both on RTK. We have very little flat ground, most of our ground has some B slopes, few C and D hills on one farm. It worked perfectly up to the B-C slopes and even on the D hill which was kind of a a 45 degree to the rows it did OK. After you get strips built where you want them the planter just seems to follow very good. I don't see a problem with pull type planter. That said i'm considering going to a 3 point, it's so nice backing into corners and doing headlands is only reason. Now these pictures are all flat but we have some rolling stuff.
