So far on dads nearly worthless equipment he traded it in when I bought something newer. he never paid anything afterwards for equipment other than a few smaller repairs. Get a retirement date set in stone before you do this. Retirement isn't viewed as necessary after a while when he can run newer equipment and get you to do the work.**
