Pump or it might be a well problem. I had about a half flow once and found that the well had caved in at the bottom and had to drill a new well. I don't recall that the flow varied though. This well had silted in once before we had a submersible pump and after a half hour or so it would pump air. After shutting it off for a few minutes rest it could pump for another half hour. We measured the water and found that there was only a foot or so of water. We lowered the pump and pumped the cylinder full of mud and had to pull it again. We measured again and found over twenty feet of water. We had plenty of water for thirty years before it caved in.
