Subject: JD FCs: how heavy

NW KY
Looking to upgrade our 42' John Deere 960 field cultivator as it is getting to be pretty worn.
The addition of a large pull-behind rolling harrow seems to have bowed to frame, so we want to upgrade to a stouter unit this spring.
We do not want to go overkill and get a machine that sinks in damp soil and cant take its own tracks out when running shallow, as our Landoll VT machine tends to this at times....

Question is: 960 vs 980 vs 985 vs 2200 vs 2210

Pulling w/ 380hp 4wd or 425. Looking at 42-45' unit w/ 5 bar spike harrow and will pull same rolling harrow. 6" spacing preferred.

Does anyone have the shipping weights on these machines? Google cant seem to come up with them.....

Would you think the 980 would be built heavy enough or would we need to jump up to the 2210? We worry the 2210 might be too heavy in a wet spring.

- Tks
