Dearfield Co.
I have never and I mean never seen the air to air being the cause of a engine getting dusted in all the years I have been around air to airs. If you look and experiment with ones that have holes in them they are positive pressure except at startup and shut down where it should be hard to add the amounts of dirt that are mentioned in these threads. In my personal experience it has been more seems in plastic housings opening up in extreme heat allowing dirt in. Using 4 fasteners to hold a air cleaner lid on thats made of plastic seems to want issues if you ask me.It was tried in over the road trucks that didn't have the dirt environment with bad results why would they think it would work in the dirt
