NCIN
I'm a small farmer (less than 300 ac) so can't afford to have many different tools in the shed. On corn, I chisel in the fall with a high clearance plow that doesn't plug and with no S tine leveling. In the spring, finish with a disk pulling a rolling basket, one pass. It does a great job filling in the furrows which the neighbors have even commented. I think the secret is in the disk. It's a 475 Int., 7.5" disk spacing, and you can adjust the angle of the gangs so it's not too aggressive leaving no ridges.
