| I disk irrigated stalks soon after harvest then use a SF soil finisher 3-4 wks later before planting wheat. It will plug occasionally but not too bad. I cant skip the pass with the disk. Anywhere I dont plant wheat ill notill cover crop in then spray in the spring and run the soil finisher twice then plant. No problems with plugging in the spring. They do pull hard as my 20 ft loads a 155 hp mfwd tractor. I replaced a field cultivator which pulled easier and levelled maybe a bit better but I had to disk a whole lot more before usung it.
