North End I-15 | "All I'm advocating is the dangers of putting all of your eggs in one basket;"
If the basket is rented , there in lies the problem . If all you ever farm is rented land , you had better be having some good off farm investments made with the cheap rent . :>)
I know one farmer who farmed most all his life on rented acres . He had a few acres that were his base , but for the most part all his farming acres were rented . All his sons farmed , and they bought as much land as they could . They rented and bought as opportunity presented it self . At the end of 40 years with a lease , all you have is the dried up ink on paper .
Been there also .
