Subject: Soil-Max tile plow questions

Southern IL Randolph County
We are very interested in purchasing a Soil-Max 3pt plow (preferably a new one) and wondering if I can handle this with a 240hp FWA with a CVT trans. I could add front duals and weights if necessary. What about a pull-type model as far as advantages or disadvantages pulling. We have some heavy clay soils and will be using to drain springs more so than pattern tiling to begin with. I have given up a large chunk of unprofitable land for this year and looking to work more on improving what we have left. I am a total novice with tiling, other than what I have watched of some locals, so I'm looking for some tips. As I said the only given fact is that we are truly interested in the Soil-Max brand. I truly do not need a 4WD tractor at this point, but will be open to any suggestions. What challenges are there pulling the plow with 2 different tractors through the tough areas with a powershift up front and a CVT on the plow. Maybe I'm thinking too much on that thought. Fire away please.
