Subject: Painting grain wagons questions.

Southern Ontario

I bought a used Parker 5250 at a sale today to go with our other 3. The paint is faded and there is some rust in a few spots so I want to sand blast it and paint it CaseIH red and re-decal it.

What would be the best paint to apply to a grain wagon. There are a million kinds of paint out there. I've read a few different posts on CaseIH red and some say to buy from NAPA, but what is the paint code for CaseIH red. And what should I get? I assume a Poly Enamil of some kind?

I was going to paint the inside with graphite paint as well. Can that be purchased at NAPA? Should spray some undercoating type paint where the wheels would spray mud, water, rocks ext?

And finally, will a cheap spray gun from say Harbor Freight, (or Princess Auto in Canada) work good enough? I dont want to spend stupid money on a paint gun that I'm only going to use for 4 wagons...

TIA
