A few guys i have talked to said they thought the mechanical 3406B 400hp Cat would walk away from the Detroit

have to get it in and on the computer then i will know more, dealer thought it would either be 1550 or 1650 lbs torque and he felt it could easily be set to 470 at the throttle
Correct.
We have a 2001 W-900 with the same suspension and we do not drop the air bags when raising a dump trailer.
