The problem IMO is twofold.

First, sometimes the people buying the equipment think bigger is better and they maybe don't really know how to cure hay....they just want a 15' head because the neighbor has a 10' head.

Second, the designers of this equipment apparently don't know how to cure hay either. They don't seem to understand that the bigger the head, the bigger the swath needs to be......or maybe they are trying to sell tedders and conditioners.

My current hy cutting tool is a Hesston self propelled with a 15' 9180 head. My next hay cutting tool will be two 10' 9180 hesston heads mounted on a tractor.
