I was told that tedding a couple of hours after cutting will have the best reduction in drying time. It actually makes the grass look fresh again. It is hard to do without an extra tractor and operator though. The illustration used was if I cut you off at the knees you would grap where the cut was to reduce the bleeding. If I then came along and beat you with a stick you would raise your arms and protect yourself, letting the blood flow quicker. apparently it works similar with grass. It was almost a disturbing image but very descriptive!!
