I have had the same problem and first time I took it to a mechanic at a dealer I use a lot and he took a small air hammer and held on to the shaft with one hand and air hammer in other hand and hammered on pump spline piece and in a matter of seconds it was off. I had it happen once after that and did the same thing a bingo it was off.
