I don't do much mowing but what I do is for some horse hay and is mostly on ground reclaimed from landfill with all the fun and games that comes with. There are a lot of methane pipes and pipes for testing water all over the place and sometimes they get marked with 2 inch angle iron. We have a Krone disc mower that is about 6 years old. Last summer the grass had grown above the angle iron marker for a pipe and I went straight over it... ooops. I finished the day and replaced the blade that was all the damage.

It is a good mower that will cut tangled grass faster than I am prepared to push it because I have enough power for about 3 of them, so I take it easy.
