Subject: Hauling Ag Lime In Hopper Trailer

We spent a month a couple summers ago hauling corn to Kansas City, and hauling screenings back to an asphalt plant. I would say it was the same thing as lime. We were using Timpte trailers with standard hoppers, and air ride suspensions. Never had too much trouble unloading, pull up and hit brakes several times. This was about a 100 mile trip. The loader operators seemed to like us, and tried to load us with as dry as material as possible though. If you have a fairly new Jet with the rounded hoppers, I would try at least one load just to see what happens. Good Luck! Snowing here too.
