If I understand you correctly you are going with the last choice I posted. Correct?
Could be - or, I failed to mention, it could be leaking around the window seal, but that would show on the inside glass or frame - generally. Hope you find it - nothing worse then those freak leaks here and there over the yrs. . . . .
