If Quicken is not want you want then I think I am fairly sure Quickbooks is not want you want either. It will have tons more features /capabilities than Quicken and less user friendliness for a first time user. I converted my records system from Quiken to Quickbooks 5 years ago and it was not painless. I agree though it is well worth the time you spend to get one of these systems in place, it becomes a tool like a welder, you just have to have it to go on. The key is to set up the categories so you can track income and expenses to individual enterprises.
