| I believe rollers first started with dry bean growers who started clipping vs. rod pulling. Much less shattering and pod splitting when you can shave the beans and the flex head is not constantly moving up and down due to stones and uneven ground. People saw much less repairs on sections, knives and stones in machines, not to mention much less stress during harvest, so now soybeans also get rolled. | |
