Nebraska, The land of corn and cattle

According to the chart above -18.60 with a 200 yard zero. 243 is great, cheap brass, and now Nosler makes a 6mm Accubond which would be a GREAT deer round. but regular Ballistic tips works good too.

Edit: when you say youre wanting to shoot out to 400 are you wanting to kill something out there or just hit paper? My AR is pretty accurate out to 400 with 55gr vmaxs. Its only got a 20" barrel but if you were wanting mostly a target bolt rifle, build a 24" heavy barreled 1:7 possibly 1:8 twist 223 then have a gunsmith ream it to 5.56 specs and load 69gr HPs or 77gr match kings. Would be a pretty sweet shooter I think and if youre reloading you can make use of cheap once fired military brass and you could still shoot the lighter 62s for cheap plinkers. Im thinking about a project similar to this for myself but with a shorter barrel. That way I can cut down on the number of different ammo I have.
