Subject: CIH 955/interplant vs. CIH 5500 soybean special

South Central Nebraska

Which one of these two machines would work best for notill soybeans? Obviously the row units are the same, but I am wondering how much difference there is between metering and does it affect soybeans? We might plant some milo, corn (would like to try narrow row corn, but not a very big percentage of total acres planted with this machine)  or other cover crop type crops with it also, so that has to factor into the decision.

Looking at tractorhouse, it looks like the 5500 soybean special would be cheaper comparing similar age and acres. What is the difference in weight between the two and what about seed capacity?

Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
