Subject: A thought for all who are concerned

We have seen it happen in Cyprus, it's being discussed in other EU countries, it was inadvertently leaked out then retracted by Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem that this is a template for other banks and countries ,we have seen a govt paper from Canada and now we see one from the FDIC/Bank of England.

Everyone who is fearful or concerned about your deposits in financial institutions needs to start being proactive and asking questions.

The article John posted simplifies the complicated facts as well as about anything I have seen so far.

Email a short note to your banking officials you deal with along with a hyperlink to the article here.

Tell them you are concerned about your deposits and ask them to respond back with a reply explaining the banks position.

They may not know anything about this, they may think you are too worried, or reading that " tin foil crazy internet stuff" and you will likely be assured that cannot happen here.

Judge the responses you get as to how informed your contacts are , how much concern they have for you and your questions, and whether you can trust what they are telling you.

No matter what the replies, if it even raises the awareness of a few people on up the chain then it has been worth it. Get them to start questioning others in the bank, questioning how they are investing depositors funds and examining their own exposure in all of this.

My guess is very few have heard anything about this yet.
