| happens a lot. only time i can see its justified is if the item is virtually new and a new one is not available close by or in time. for example, if your dealer or any in the area didnt have that new auger on their lot and wouldnt until after harvest. in that case it may not have been such a foolish purchase. the guy who bought it today could be augering corn as we speak. theres no guarantee that a new one will work properly the first time either.
