I put a new gear reduction in a 4430. It only has one 12 volt battery instead of 2 sixes. Starter helped quite a bit, and new battery cables helped some more. It spins over much faster than it did before even with only one battery. Starts better in the cold now, but prior to replacing it the old starter, cables and batteries were pretty tired.
