I have a dump valve on my flatbed that I use for hay, works well. Like someone said you can dump the back axle and make a shorter trailer since it will pivot on the front axle. If you wire it to the truck I would put an indicator light in the dash to let you know when the valve is dumped so that you don't forget and leave the axle dumped and cause damage. If you have a newer truck with the hot center pin, make an auxillary cord and put another socket on the trailer, so you will have a separate cord for the dump valve.
