Having a cutter will make your bales weigh 15-20 % more and cut mixing time to almost as fast as you can load the wagon. It will mean that your bales can be dumped into a reel or auger mixer without tub grinding as well, if you don't have a vertical mixer. Can't help ya set up the NH, after owning one a few years ago I would never want to try again.
The cutter option will mean more maintenance as knives need to be sharpened daily if running all day. Takes us about 20 minutes to sharpen and reinstall. Didn't notice any change in power requirement with cutter, but our fuel comsumption went down with the cutter. We think this is the result of more constant load.
