Subject: Corn Feed Value

I am tinkering with my feed ration for my goats. I found a decent program from one of the universities to download and it works pretty good. One thing I got to noticing is they value corn pretty high on the protein. It has been a few days since I took feeds & feeding at college but I am sure then we used 8.5% protein for shelled corn. This program is set up with 10%. That just seems high to me and if that is what I should be using I need to throw more trash in the feed to get the protein level down some more!! Just curious what you guys are using for your feed value of shelled corn.
