Eastern Washington | What is the weight/viscosity of JD Hy-Guard? And what weights/viscosity are AW 32, 46, 60?

Missouri | I don't know, but between hygard, and low viscosity hygard, the specs for them are J20C and J20D (I forget which one is which). I don't know the weight/viscosities, but a little googling with those spec number might produce something.

Missouri | I have no idea, but there's been a lot of talk here about it lately. I look at it this way. Deere's not in the petroleum lubricant refining business (AFAIK), so they have to hire it out to someone that is. Have you ever heard of someone bidding out a job to the highest bidder? No, it just doesn't work that way. If you've got to bid out a job, of course it goes to the low bidder. A lot of people have jumped to the irrational conclusion that being made by the low bidder means the same thing as being made to cheap specifications.

N Central IA | Deere doesnt make oil like all equipment manufacturers they bid it out to cheapest price that meets they're specifications.

Hygard is a 20w,low viscosity hygard is close to 10w,thats why they can be used in 9500 9610 hyd systems,10w was factory fill on deere combines 1989-2007.

Missouri | If you ignored everyone saying that from inside their red cab, there'd only be three more people saying it.

NW IL | http://www.deere.com/wps/dcom/en_US/parts/batteries_and_fluids/oils... at the bottom of the page is the tests of Hygard as per John Deere I really think that viscosity is the most important comparison statistic when trying to figure out what hydraulic oil to use. NESD | Does CIH or Agco or Cat or any of the iron manufacturers own a refinery to make their own oil, I don't know for sure but I highly doubt it and I doubt that any of them buy only from the highest bidder, every one of them buy from the company that can and will meet the specifications that are put out for bids. End of story.

Missouri | Thanks for that card. I was familiar with centiStokes, and Saybolt Universal Seconds, but drawing a blank on AW
