Do they make a splitter?  I mean I bought a new TV and it only has one set of female plugs to take in the signal for the Wii or a DVD player.  I am talking about the yellow, red and white plugs that I need to plug into the TV.  I think I need something that I can plug in both sets of yellow, red and white cables from the Wii and the DVD and then just have one remaining cable that has male yellow, red and white ends to plug into my TV.

Thanks.

Does your DVD player have an HDMI output? All the new tvs have two or more HDMI inputs and that is the best way to hook up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI

The other thing you can do is buy a splitter for the AV. Then your DVD player and your Wii could plug into the splitter and you can push the buttons on it to switch between them.

The tv doesn't have component video in? (blue, green, and red RCA connectors)

The ends you are asking about are called RCA cables (Left audio-white,Right audio-red,video-yellow) here is a splitter for those,
http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-28750-Composite-Selector/dp/B0032AN...

You can also check to see if your TV, DVD and Wii has S-video input, one wire for all three above wires, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SVideo
or
Component video where the video signal is split into 3 wires, green, blue and red and audio is still (Left audio-white,Right audio-red)

As other post stated HDMI or S-video would be simplest if DVD and TV had either of those sets of Input/Output jacks and leave the Wii with RCA (Left audio-white,Right audio-red,video-yellow)

Southwest KS
S video cable doesn't do audio.
It's just a better video cable than the rg5 or 6 for the video signal.
