Subject: RID guage wheels

West central Ohio
Matt, have talked with you several times in the past. Would you share your thoughts about RID guage wheel tires. I experienced some of same issues you address. When digging for seed I would find seeds off center of seed trench. I also had trouble maintaining consistent seed depth with RID tires in dry no till or loose soil conditions. Was noticable because I had RID on half of 12 row 7200 and Deere tires on other half. I set rows with RID deeper due to taller tire profile. I feel seed wall was collapsing ahead of seed placement in these conditions. I felt RID worked well in wet conditions but not so well in others. It s interesting Martin is promoting and selling these now. In talking with Howard Martin over the years, he said he saw the same issues
with RID.
