Subject: RE: IH Field cultivators

central - east central Minnesota -

SHR4010 - 1/15/2013 22:06 Educate me on the difference between the 4300, 4500, 4600 & 4800 field cultivators. Are there any differnces in the shanks used? I thought I remember someone telling me some did not have any bushings in the shank pivots but do not remember which model. TIA

In a nut shell ~
4300 is a current model, most distance between shanks and between bars (rows of shanks) good trash flow.
Floating hitch - good leveling abilities.
4500 is old series - not good for trash flow
4600 better trash flow, no floating hitch -
4800 good trash flow, floating hitch, good leveling abiliites . . .
All use same springs and bushings - as far as I know (could be proved wrong)
